Senator Seriake Dickson, representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, has endorsed the 10th Annual Memorial celebration of the late Ijaw musician King Robert Ebizimor JP. The endorsement came on Monday when the event’s organizers, including the late musician’s children, visited the Senator at his country home in Toru-Orua, Sagbama Local Government Area, Bayelsa.
Expressing his excitement about the program, Senator Dickson assured the team of his presence at the ceremony. He also promised to set up a committee to mobilize the Ijaw nation in honoring the late legend’s remarkable contributions to the music industry.
The organizers have also visited other notable Ijaw figures, including Chief S. Smooth, AKA De Paddle of Niger Delta, at his Warri residence in Delta State.
King Robert Ebizimor, a foremost Ijaw musician, passed away in 2014 in a tragic motor accident along the Warri/Ughelli highway. He is fondly remembered for his timeless tunes and evergreen songs.
