Hon. Philip Agbese, the Deputy Spokesman of the House of Representatives, has hailed the leadership of the Green Chamber under Speaker Tajudeen Abbas as exemplary and unparalleled.
Reflecting on the past year, Agbese emphasized that no one else could have led the parliament as effectively as Rt. Hon. Abbas. He highlighted the Speaker’s exceptional leadership qualities, including wisdom, integrity, and dedication, which have been instrumental in navigating complex legislative challenges with ease and finesse.
Agbese noted that the House has achieved significant milestones under Abbas’s leadership, successfully fulfilling campaign promises and addressing the needs of constituents. He added that Abbas has kept his promises to his colleagues, fostering a positive environment where members can easily connect with their constituents.
“In the last year, Speaker Abbas has demonstrated exceptional leadership, guiding the House with wisdom, integrity, and dedication,” Agbese remarked. “No one else could have led the parliament with such distinction, navigating complex legislative terrains with ease and finesse.”
Agbese praised Abbas as an invaluable asset to Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu, and the entire National Assembly. He commended Abbas’s unique blend of liberalism, nationalism, and patriotism, which has earned him widespread admiration. Describing Abbas as a true statesman, Agbese highlighted his willingness to speak truth to power without fear or favour.
“Under his leadership, the House has achieved remarkable milestones, fulfilling campaign promises and satisfying constituents’ needs. New members are inspired by his dedication and inclusiveness,” Agbese continued. “He has equally fulfilled his promises to us, and members are happy with him. We pray for him every day, grateful for his selfless service. His leadership has made it easy for us to connect with our constituents back home. His approach is a refreshing departure from the norm.”
Agbese further commended Abbas as a unifying force, bringing together diverse perspectives and interests for the common good. He expressed pride in being led by Abbas, noting that the Speaker has made his mentors proud.
