President Tinubu is set to present a N6.6 trillion supplementary budget for 2024 to the Senate in July. Senate spokesperson Yemi Adaramodu disclosed this information, noting that the budget is still being finalized by the executive branch.
According to a report by The PUNCH, Adaramodu stated that the supplementary budget would be sent to the National Assembly after its July 2 resumption. The proposed budget aims to fund several key transformational projects, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road and the proposed Sokoto-Badagry Road.
Additionally, the budget will allocate funds for the completion of ongoing railway projects that lack counterpart funding. It will also support the rehabilitation and expansion of dams and irrigation schemes to boost production within the economy.
